What Filter Sets Are

A filter set is a named, reusable group of filter rules evaluated against a call's data. Instead of repeating the same criteria on several records, you define the rules once and attach the set wherever it is needed.

Match Types

Each filter set has a match type that controls how its
rules combine:

  • Any of the filter sets match: at least one rule must match.
  • All of the filter sets match: every rule must match.
  • None of the filter sets match: no rule may match.

What Rules Can Filter On

Each rule in the set defines criteria using the same filtering options available on buyers and offers:

  • Geography: countries, states, zip codes (using zip code lists), and USA / Canada area codes.
  • Platform records: match calls belonging to specific buyers, buyer groups, offers, traffic sources, numbers, schedules, or lead imports.
  • Custom tokens: compare any call data field using equals, not-equals, and numeric greater-than or less-than comparisons.

Where Filter Sets Apply

  • Traffic source caps: the cap only counts and limits calls that match the set.
  • Call modifications: bulk modifications only apply to calls that match the set.
  • Call control actions: an action with a filter set only applies to matching calls.

Runtime Behavior

When the platform evaluates a record that has a filter set attached, it compares the call's data (geography,
source, buyer, and custom fields) against each rule, then combines the results using the match type. If the set matches, the attached cap, modification, or action takes effect; otherwise it is skipped.
